Job Title: Senior Manager of Invitation & Engagement

Through the generosity of our Canadian supporters, we are able to work in more than 200 communities around the world to provide opportunities for children to receive an education, families to become stronger, and communities to become self-sustaining.

Chalice is searching for the future leader of the Invitation & Engagement Department. Reporting to the President and as a member of the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will exemplify Catholic faith and values, be an impassioned, inspired, and dedicated leader, and have shown a demonstrable care for those who struggle daily to live in dignity within situations and structures of poverty or hardship.

Responsible for all aspects of the Invitation and Engagement Department, the Senior Manager leads various office teams dedicated to inspiring more Canadians to participate and join us in the Chalice mission and purpose with their financial donations and spiritual support, always increasing and deepening involvement and commitment.

Particularly responsible for attaining the annual financial and sponsorship goals of Chalice, the successful candidate will work collaboratively in developing a multifaceted strategy and annual operational plan, implement decisively and timely those plans, and courageously assess successes and failures with a commitment to improve and grow.

Specific duties include staff and volunteer management, annual budgeting, revenue forecasting, overall management of campaigns and appeals, external communications, two annual gift catalogues; oversight of donor relations, planned giving and major gifts; as well as special events and other projects and campaigns as they are developed.

At a strategic level, the Senior Manager will develop an excellent knowledge of overall operations so as to collaborate very closely with a dynamic and committed group of Senior Managers, fostering interdepartmental cohesion and support.

The qualified candidate for this position will have educational credentials in the Not-for-Profit Management, Business, or Public Relations and, at a minimum, five years of proven leadership experience in a similar or related role that includes demonstrated success in strategic planning, fundraising management, partner development, volunteer engagement, and people management.

In-depth knowledge of the Catholic church and working environment and, in line with Chalice's mission, a consistent commitment to faithful service in the Body of Christ, visible in active participation in the life of a local parish or diocese will be expected.

The best candidate will also bring a faithful and collaborative spirit, exceptional interpersonal skills, strong leadership qualities, and the strong written and oral communication skills that are required.
