Steeven.18, suffers from frequent headaches and has recently been feeling very unwell. Steeven lives with his mother, Resita, and is blessed with a Chalice sponsor who supports his education. Since April, he has been experiencing fever, stomach aches, weakness, and body pains. 

Resita took him to the clinic, but his condition did not improve. The dispensary staff referred him to a doctor in the region's largest city, Jérémie. This doctor diagnosed Steeven with gastritis, a bacterial infection,and acute urethritis.

Resita knew that her son would receive the care he needed if he stayed with the Jérémie doctor and approached the Haiti South site staff to request financial assistance.

Together they prepared a $494.44 CAD budget for Steeven's treatment, which includes a reimbursement for his consultations and medications to date, as well as follow-up for three months. The budget also includes three months of food supplements to support Steeven's immune system and covers transportation costs for three round trips to Jérémie.
