Kensley, 19, is a Chalice sponsored student living near the city of Jérémie. The Haiti South site reached out for assistance on Kensley’s behalf in 2021, and generous Chalice supporters helped him get treatment for severe abdominal pain caused by an ulcer.

More recently, Kensley has  needed urgent dental care and also a small procedure to help his persistent dysuria. The dental emergency included a root canal, multiple dental extractions, and endodontic restoration.

Kensley’s mother came to the Haiti South site staff to ask for help when Kensley was suffering again. She knew that she could not afford the treatment he needed. The Haiti South staff have therefore put forward a request for the total budget for Kensley’s treatment and recovery, which comes to $984.45 CAD . This budget includes his medical, diagnostic, and emergency dental costs, as well as three months of supplemental food, so that the young man can have a robust diet as he heals.
