There are many examples where sponsorship is making a difference: a hungry child being fed, another receiving medical care, yet another going to school instead of work; here a well being dug, there a house being built; a school constructed, a clinic supplied - all made possible because ordinary people come together to care for another person.

At the foundation of it all is prayer. Prayer is like breathing. Without it we fade to nothing. With it, we can do all things. More than your good works, more than your wonderful gifts of monetary support, what the children of this world need the most right now are your prayers.

Not just the children though! We are a people of God, called to serve Him in truth and justice.  We are bound to each other through the love of God and in fellowship with Jesus.

Let's join together in daily prayer. Together we can make a difference in our world and provide support for each other.  In our busy lives, it is so important to put aside a few moments each day for reflection and prayer.  The more people we have praying together, the more powerful our prayers become.
