The support has been immediate from the workers in our Sponsor Sites. Teams were dispatched into the community disseminating information and educating people on how to stay safe after and during earthquakes and aftershocks while assessing the situation.  We have met with the United Nations at Haiti South to discuss food security and plans for safe and effective distribution have been made. In Haiti North we have secured Food stores and will distribute food as per normal operations.  Throughout our communities rally points have been identified and efforts to make them secure and facilitate aid are underway.

The provision of grief counseling and critical stress support services is also a priority to Chalice. Our Sites are working with their social workers and community leaders to determine the best ways to help their communities through group counseling sessions, children's workshops, vigils, community information boards, one on one grief counseling and other forms of social support.
